Campus Life - Experience

The Hulman Memorial Student Union Board (Union Board) strives to provide educational, social, recreational and cultural programs for the benefit of the ISU community. Union Board consists of six committees and two steering committees, each offering opportunities to learn valuable work skills while meeting new people and making new friends. Union Board members serve as role models for other students through goal setting, advanced planning, evaluation, and follow through on assigned projects and committee work.

The Miss Indiana State University Scholarship Program is a preliminary for the Miss Indiana Scholarship Program and the Miss America Scholarship Program. Miss Indiana State University has been in existence since 1958. There have been 34 Miss Indiana State title holders. Miss ISU represents Indiana State University at the Miss Indiana Scholarship. Listed below are all the former Miss Indiana State representatives, their talent (when available) and how they fared at Miss Indiana. In 1961 Kathleen Jane Burke was the First Miss Indiana State to become Miss Indiana. She was a non-finalist talent winner at Miss America. In 2019, Tiarra Taylor became the 2nd Miss Indiana State to become Miss Indiana. Her talent was vocal. For more information contact Freda Luers at 812-237-3831.

Each organization seeks to enrich the lives of students, faculty, and staff by providing opportunities for growth through fellowship, educational programs, worship services, recreation, entertainment, and the development of one's faith.
